CLUB ROOM
Our post has social quarters (Licensed Club Room) which offers the sale of alcoholic beverages. The club room has seating at the bar for approximately 12 patrons and includes 5 additional table seating @ 6 persons per table. Amenities include flat screen televisions, ATM and a full sized regulation shuffleboard. Light snacks such as potato chips, pretzels, and nuts are available. Bottled beer, liquors, and wines are sold to members and guests who have attained the age of 21 with proof. The Club Room also sells Michgan Charity Games Pull Tabs offering cash prizes for lucky ticket purchasers. You must be 18 yrs of age to buy game tickets but Legion membership is not required.
Michigan Liquor Control regulations currently prohibit the sale of alcoholic beverages to non-members of the American Legion. Consumption by guests of a member is permitted but the Legion member must purchase the alcoholic drinks. A member is considered any bonafide member of the American Legion (Legion, Son's Of The Legion, and Auxiliary) even if that person is a member of another American Legion post.
Our club room is expanded during the summer months by outside beverage service available on our Lou Peiffer Memorial Patio out front, or the Wayne Fisher Back Patio, which includes horseshoes and additional covered seating. Alcoholic beverages taken outside must be consumed within the enclosed patio area and no drinks are to be taken onto the parking lot or into vehicles. The bartender while on duty is in charge of the Club Room and has full authority to enforce Club Room rules and may eject any member or guest for misconduct.
Bartenders may refuse service to anyone. Profanity is strictly prohibited. Service at our Club Room is a privilege not a right.
Dwaine McCutcheon is our Club Room Chairperson/Manager
